sEvery day in my work day I always wake up at 4.45 in the morning and since I am moeslem we have to do Subuh Prayer every morning around 5 a.m. After waking up I wash up and do prayer, then I get ready to school. Because the distance from my home to school is quite far so I need to go earlier or the traffic will kill me (Just kidding). I go to school around 5.30.
Today is still holiday, I Plan to sleep again after praying subuh but then I CAN'T SLEEP AT ALL. I feel like my brain is getting confused on why I try to sleep again in the weekday so it keep telling my body to wake up and do something. Well if it can speak my brain probably will say "What's on earth are you doing Aida? Wake up! It's weekday you can sleep again after prayer on the weekend, you have your schedule to do it. Don't mess it up". Well yeah Usually I sleep again after subuh prayer on the weekend. You know my bran if my boss so I can't ignore what it tells me to do so I stay awake and do something.. Yeas something.. Updating My Instagram story Hahahah I know everybody knows it when something become our habit our brain will automatically has program to always keep telling our body to do it. Anne Trafton from MIT News Office said "Habits are behaviors wired so deeply in our brains that we perform them automatically. This allows you to follow the same route to work every day without thinking about it," (source : http://news.mit.edu/2012/understanding-how-brains-control-our-habits-1029) Now let's imagine if positive habits are applied in our daily activites or at class and we keep our commitment to always do it then our brain will practically help us to stay positive each day. What a wonderfull world it will be.

It was a very busy week lately and just like the student I really can't wait for a week off. Mmmmmmm, I think I am even more childish than my student today. I Keep checking my watch and I feel why today is soooo long. Can't wait till 3.pm hahahahahah.
Anyway Happy holiday everyone! A : Knock knock
B : Who's there? A : It's Me B : Me who? A : Me-mory of your past and now coming to hunt you down. B : Then the person you're looking for isn't here. She's moving on. Recently, almost everyone talk about The greatest showman in our school. Our vice principal was really crazy over the songs so she keeps playing it during assembly or before the meeting. Well I really love the songs as well. I can't sing properly but This is me, a million dollars (wooops I mean a million dream ) and re-write the stars got stuck in my head.
Then, there was a student in my class who really love the songs too came to me and asked "Hey Miss Aida, who do you like the most from The greatest showman?" and i answered "Zac Efron". His expression was like mmmmmmm... "What??? why do you even like him?" he asked me again. "His handsome" I said Since then he keeps teasing me with "Look Zac Efron fan is here" then the boys will laugh and I laugh too. Today, a special needs student I teach come to the school after 2 days off because he went to Malaysia. We were so busy right now with stuffs for exhibition so I asked him to copy a sheet of paper he needs. I went to the rest room because the direction to where the photocopy machine was the same so we went together. Photocopy machine was next to the lift and the rest room was across the lift. Before i turn left to the rest room I thought he will turn right toward the machine, but woops,,, he went straight to the stair. "Hey where are you going?" I asked. "Mmmm, copy this paper. Anyway, where's the photocopy machine again?" He asked me back. "Oh right, I didn't realize it was here before, Hahahahahah" He answered his own question while looking at the machine which was only 5 steps away from where he stand. "You've been absent for only two days, what will happen if you absent for a week long?" Then I asked again. "Probably I will forget where my school is, well that's still fine as long as I don't forget ehre I put my PS4." He replied. "Whattttt????" . "Nah, I am just kidding Miss Aida". He joked.
The machine has always been there and never been moved anywhere actually. Recently, right after I woke up I always felt my mouth so sour like I was just drank vinegar. . Then yesterday in Indonesia (Well, it's probably today in the US), I was feeling something weird in my tummy but I just ignored it and went to bus station to go to school. After about 10 minutes waiting for the bus the pain is getting more hurt then I vomited in the bus station. Ugh, gross!
So I decided to go back to my house and take a rest. But Woops, I got diarrhea and my tummy was really really really hurt. It's not my first time having this problem but then i still got panic. I am living alone here in Jakarta and my family is in the other city so I have to handle everything by myself as long as I can. Then I went to the doctor to get Injection to instantly cut back the pain and got some medicine. My doctor was a little bit disappointed at me because he asked me to get endoscopy many time as soon as possible since I often deal with gastric pain. You know swallowing tiny camera to your stomach and let it record what's in there is so terrible, I suppose. Ok well, you probably feel my tittle and my story isn't match, but here is what I wanna tell you. I knew what are the triggers to gastric acid. But I couldn't keep my commitment to avoid them . I keep eating spicy food, I can't manage my stress and I don't really like to eat on time, and so on. I know how hurt it is to have gastric pain but then, why? why? why? again, commitment! A nice quote said "If you are tired, take a rest. Don't quit"
But once in awhile, in a certain circumtance we need to learn how to quit rather to hold on. Today was a little bit boring, sorry. Then I saw my friend you tube channel was in my you tube home. Then I remembered bout a month ago I was hanging out with my friend who is a moto vlogger (A person who records video log while riding a motorcycle). We were riding his motorbike around Jakarta then suddenly there was an ambulance bringing a patient to a hospital. You know the traffic jam in Jakarta is so so so so sooooo terrible. My friend suddenly turned on the siren in his motorbike and asked the ambulance driver where hospital they were heading for. After knowing where to go he escorted it and breaking through the traffic to make a way for ambulance. I gotta tell you one more time, traffic in Jakarta was and is so awful. Even it would be hard for ambulance to go through it by turning on its sirine and people awareness on giving the way to ambulance as priority is kind of an issue here. Miu…miu..miu…miu…..tewwwww… miu…miu..miu… (or whatever it is sounded like). The sirine from his motorbike and the ambulance were like shouting to each other. He went off his motorbike tried to direct the cars in a u turn to give the ambulance the way. Then he drove his motorbike again and I just sat in his motorbike and felt like I was in a dream. It was my very first time doing such a debatable thing. Why is it debatable? Because installing sirine for civilian is illegal but then we were trying to help someone’s life by using it.. Someone’s life. The rain suddenly poured and made it even more dramatic. We weren’t wearing raincoat and we were in a rush to make the way so we didn’t have a chance to wear it. The rain was getting even bigger and we were wet, all wet but we didn’t stop. He asked me “Wah, basah banget lagi, gak apa-apa kan?” meaning “Wah, It’s all wet. You fine?” then I said “I’m fine” (I was really fine with that. You know sometimes when a girl said I am fine she probably not fine at all. But here, I am really fine and I meant it seriously). Till we arrive at a toll gate we were no longer able to do escorting and the ambulance driver turn on his hazard lamp as a thanks sign. I couldn’t believe of what I just did. It was my first time for me to escort an ambulance but it wasn’t his first time. Escorting an ambulance has become his thing. That's why I believe he never misused the sirine on his motorbike. He made me realize of how amazing it is help each other as a human being. About a week or two weeks later, after having dinner we were riding his motorbike to go around the city and finally there was an ambulance past by and was heading to the nearest hospital. So, we escorted it again but not as dramatic as the first one. When we arrived at the hospital gate the driver and the family member of the patient were smiling and thanked us and the hospital security smiled and gave us thumb up. I was really so happy and I couldn’t help myself not to keep thanking him for giving me this precious experience. Due to our business it's hard for us to see each other again but I wish someday when we have time we can do more escorting while it's needed. This is the link for the first video www.youtube.com/watch?v=sClzd-AqxNU but unfortunately after recording the video under the rain his go pro was broken so he couldn’t record the second one. And oh ya the conversation was in bahasa. Anonymous said make your passion your paycheck and my friend taught me about make your passion your way to help humanity. Two days ago we were having dinner in Jennifer house. After enjoying dinner we had chit chat while listening to the 80's and 90's playlist from her phone. I was the youngest one there. They were singing and dancing happily and talked about the memory of the past as the songs reminded them of it. Every time she started playing the song she would ask me "Aida, do you know this song?" and I just knew some of them from my brother or my dad. She teased me by saying "If you don't know this song, you really need to go out and stand under the tree". All laughed. Then tadaaaaa "I could stay awake just to hear you're breathing....." Aerosmith was on playlist. I stood up and scream " I KNOW THIS SONG"... "FINALLLYYYYYYYY" They said. Then we sang together. Before we back to our own place she teased me again " I would be really mad to your parents cause you don't know the songs, ugh!". So yesterday, a day after we have dinner we have swimming carnival at school. I was heading to the swimming pool and Jennifer was standing beside the pool wearing black hat and black dress. Pharell Williams Happy song was being played. Then she asked me again " Now, do you know this song?" Come on Jennifer... It's today song how come I don't know it. Then I answered "Of course I know, are you gonna throw me to the water if I don't know this song?" We both laughed .... |
